Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, instructions for the removal of the instrument cluster module vary. Below, you'll find directions for removing an instrument cluster module for the following vehicles:
GM Instrument Cluster Removal
This set of instructions can be applied to most GM vehicles, including the Silverado, Tahoe, Trailblazer, Yukon, and Escalade.
- First, lower the steering wheel and pull down the gear shifter.
- Next, pull the plastic trim that surrounds the instrument cluster off. It should be easy to remove.
- Once you've removed the plastic trim, you should be able to see 4 - 7 mm bolts. Remove all four of these bolts.
- At this point, you should be able to pull the cluster out easily. Remove any clips that are holding the cluster in place.
