My vehicle will not start after the repair of the ECU. What do I do?
If you receive the ECU back and are having issues, ask yourself the following:
- Was it starting before?
- Is this the original ECU
- If not, did you get one with the matching part number?
- If you replace the ECU it must have the exact part number otherwise it won’t work. In some cases the immobilizer will need to be cleared so that the vehicle can accept the new ECU.
- Did this happen before or after our service? If it was before, that could indicate that the problem lies somewhere else. There is a possibility of it being in engine safe-mode. The only way to determine this is to proceed with the steps on the next page.
