A non-working oil pressure gauge is a common Instrument Clusters problem in GM vehicles from 2003-2006. The second biggest issue from vehicles in this year-range other than the instrument cluster issues is the oil sensor/switch also going bad.

If You've Already Had Your GM Cluster Repaired & Have This Issue:
If your instrument cluster was already repaired by us and your oil pressure gauge is stuck, erratic, or pegged to the other side even after we repair it, do not be alarmed. ALL gauges were replaced.
It is most likely a faulty oil pressure switch
and you will need to replace the faulty switch.
- Aftermarket oil pressure switches can be purchased from auto stores such as: “Napa, Autozone, Advance Auto, CarQuest, O'Reilly Auto Parts, etc.”
- Your dealership will also sell the OEM GM clusters.
Once the oil pressure switch has been replaced the oil gauge should display the correct engine oil pressure.
You can also verify this by using a mechanic's scan tool which shows the values of the gauge.
